I answered one question so far… and am doing research on the other ones between classes.

The last month and change have had me very busy… Right now I’m in Harper’s Ferry, WV for the rest of the week. And when I fly back, I’m home long enough to do laundry before I take off for another four weeks.

So, needless to say I haven’t had much time to do much on the site… Sorry everyone. Working from a hotel doesn’t give me much time to do much, as I’m at their mercy and time limits, and it takes me a bit longer that 15 minutes to put together the top 50. But hopefully, I’ll have something up soon.

It would seem that there is an ongoing argument on the definition of life, and what scientists have produced.

Well I think Book II is due out late 2008 or early 2009. Ms. Pratt hasn’t set a date for the book’s release, but she’s somewhere in the mist of writing Book II and III. Hopefully near the end.:P It’s hard to tell when Book II is released because she incorporates some of the ideas posted in the forum into the books in order to make it kind of a community written book.

Hmmm… I’m not sure what to go with this one.

The ramifications of what they are doing are staggering… And from the way that I read this, it almost appears that the Catholic Church is saying, if you are going to go forward with this type of research, what ever you create should be permitted to live.

I don’t think that we’re centuries away from the realm of possibilities that are brought up in The Vision Quest. I think that we’re a few years to a couple of decades. DNA splicing is not a new thing. But survivable embryos of human crossed genetics? Now we’ve take one step closer. At what point do you say enough is enough?

Bear in mind that this is mearly what is being published… My more investigative side wants to ask, what haven’t they disclosed? And, who’s to say that there isn’t some experimentation where they’ve progressed beyond just the embriotic state. The ideas set forth in The Island of Dr Moreau, could very well be a reality.

I think that the Wii would make a great format in which to develope such a game. Not only would I enjoy it, but I’m sure that my kids would as well.

Additionally it would make a way to introduce people into The Vision Quest. I know that there are a number of people out there that get into a game first, then get into the books to discover what the world is about. I think Warcraft is one of those games, as well as any of the games that are produced by Blizzard.

Another advantage of the Wii is that you can do some on-line/interactive type of game play.

A Wii game would be interesting, already have one so I would surely play the game. I would think that having something online might be a better route though. A ever growing RPG would get more people into the game and keep them in the series then a video game. As an example, once I finish a game I tend to trade it in at GameStop and get another.

Mmmm. Yea thats how i initially imagined Kyla. It would vary on her daily outfit I guess. A graphic novel, now we’re talking. Man there’s a lot to look forward to in the coming months. The bilyon should look majestic, but beary at the same time…lol When I think of a bilyon I see Simba’s head attached to a muscular bear body, eating its prey with berries and grubs. hhah.

There are squoids in book two – part machine/part squoids.

I like the whale shark too. I have something in book two tracking Cashton’s oddessey that is very similar. Your visual is terrific.

There is an artist named D. Chaing who I think nails the kind of imagery. This is his – it isn’t TVQ art but I wish it was. kind of a zebra/lion. (spit, it didn’t load) well, I think what we’re doing is fantastic.

Haha, I love the Wii. Hmmm a Wii game would be interesting, I can see how the controls would fit. I think the game platform should be a free world rpg, similar to Grand Theft Auto or The Godfather. The player would be able to explore Atlantia and take part in many events in the VQ world. They can attend Tosadae and go on the Rite of Passage as part of the storyline and explore in between missions and plot events. When the game is developed, don’t make it restricted to one aspect. Expand and find a balance between the two. I’m working on a Flash game with my friends for VQ. We’re currently drawing up the boards. I hope its out in a year or so..lol
