Scientists at Aberystwyth University have created a “Robot Scientist.”

Adam is a young automated robot that is the beginning of what they hope to eventually be a team of robots that will work side by side humans to conduct scientific studies.

In this case Adam has independently formed his own thesis regarding some of the genomic properties of baker’s yeast, which scientists use to model more complex life systems. Adam formed his own hypothesis and tested it through a series of cycles. The scientists at Aberystwyth University are reviewing Adam’s work, but the results look promising.

I highly recommend reading this article or do a search and ready any of the other articles that come up… It’s an interesting read and showing some promise…

Combine this with the new virus batteries, and maybe biodroids may not be something too far fetched.

It would seem that they folks at MIT are bringing a bit of TVQ to fruition. Sounding almost like a miniturized version of The Matrix, Professors Angela Belcher, Paula Hammond and Yet-Ming Chiang of MIT have created a battery that uses a genetically modified virus and red abolone to make a battery that will vary in size from a grain of rice to as big as a hearing aid battery. The whole concept is an interesting read.

I just hope that the equipment powered by this new battery doesn’t get the flu. :)

Aryon, OPALMOX here, I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed books one and two as much as you did… Perhaps the teacher that comfiscated one of your books from you should get a copy to read. They may come away enlightened. Everyone that I’ve shared the book with fall in love with the series, and many come away with a different view of life.

To answer your question though, I hear from Deborah from time to time. She’s a very busy, but a very gracious and genuine lady. But yes, book three is well in the works, and I’m confident that it’s approaching completion. I’m equally confident that when it gets closer to being published that you’ll see her more and more on the boards to talk about the book.

I apologize for my lack of being as active on the boards as I had been; unfortunately life periodically takes a turn that prevents you from participating in all the things that you enjoy doing for a time; hopefully I’ll be back on the boards and the blogs soon.

In the mean time, please come back to the boards frequently, and post any questions or comments as you see fit. I would also encourage you to develope and expand on a character through the blogs. I’ve seen many interesting story lines, and writing styles and it’s a great way to express yourself.

Stay in the Light and we’ll look forward to seeing more from you.

I took a look at that site, and it’s some interesting information…

I’d love to see one in person, and it looks like it has some promise.

I’m not sure that it can translate a persons Aura that some of us can see to what they are getting through the program, but it would be interesting to take a closer look at and investigate.

Again, welcome to VQ, and I’d like to see some more stuff along these lines.

I don’t know… In speaking with Deborah she has most of book three done already. I’m sure that there’s going to be some changes as she goes along. I know that she has some other plans for the VQ Universe, that we all should be looking forward to.

Must say I can’t wait for book three as well. yeah I disappeared for awhile as well. Was working on a short story that is getting published and did this little thing called National Novel Writing Month in November where I wrote a 50,075 word story in 27 days. Doing some editing on another story at the moment but hoping to schedule some VQ writing time here soon.

Besides, with the geniuse of her father, I’m sure that Elana is more normal than clone in order to get around that. My thought on Elana is that though the mother part of her may be clone, with the genetics of her father being a normal human, that I’m sure that he used some of his own to create her, then there is a very real possibility that she could have children.

The larger question is going to be the psychological impact it’s going to have on her, and how is Lazer going to react when he finds out.
